If you are having difficulty, come see me.  If I can't help you, I'll find someone who can.

About Me: I graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in accounting and the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, MI as a Juris Doctor (JD).  I passed the Michigan Bar Exam, Colorado Bar Exam and the CPA Exam.  I practiced as a CPA for many years but have not felt the need to keep my CPA certificate active.  I began my practice in 1984 with a challenge to new clients to review their income tax returns for the past 3 years and would request a fee only if I was able to get them more money than I cost them.  It was a successful venture and I am now well established in my practice after all these years.

Today, I have experience with tax compliance and planning, real estate development, contract drafting and litigation, personal injury, first amendment, criminal law, bankruptcy, entity creation, wills, trusts, estate planning, probate, collections, tax exempt entities, condominium and homeowner associations, and personal injury.  I generally win jury trials, appeals and motions for summary.

I pride myself on being personal in my attention to you and your needs and favor personal nonformal relationships.  I sometimes have difficulty distinguishing between clients and friends as one becomes the other.  My greatest weakness is not being able to say "No" (but I'm working on it).

I believe in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Israel) and his one and only son, Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the Lion of Judah, the Prince of Peace, the Alpha and Omega.  I believe in the Apostle's Creed (the Good News).

I have a passionate commitment to my political beliefs.  Where politics ends and philosophy begins is impossible to distinguish.  Although discussion of religion and politics is often discouraged, we must come to accept that they are the two most important topics of discussion in our lives.  This is why we, as a democratic society, must not be inhibited about sharing views.

America is not just a continent between two oceans.  It is a concept founded upon the inalienable rights of human beings.  It has been and must remain that proverbial land of the free and the home of the brave.  But it takes bravery to allow freedom.

I believe that America must remain militarily strong.  As America decreases, oppression and tyranny increases the world over.

I believe in reaching out to the poor.  People helped me along in life and I intend to "pay it forward".
